ECO WEEK CELEBRATION
"Saving our mother Earth and it's environment is the key to sustain the planet for future." We celebrated Eco-week to inculcate environmental sustainability in the minds of young children. In order to create awareness and sensitize the children about the relevance of "Earth Day" , We organized galore of activities in the class. Importance of proper hand hygiene was taught to the children with the help of soap, water and hand sanitizer. They were made aware of the right way to wash their hands to stay away from viruses and germs around. 'Naani Maa Ka Thella ' activity was also conducted in class wherein children learnt to make paper bags with the help of newspaper which helped in promoting one of the R's of sustainability i.e Reuse. Students raised their voice by saying" "Say NO to poly bags and Say YES to paper bags." ' Plantation Day Activity' was also conducted on Earth Day which was indeed the most enjoyable activity for the young and curious minds. Children also drew an image of Mother Earth and coloured it by spray painting using toothbrush. They were also encouraged to speak lines like " Save Earth, Save Life" and "I love my mother Earth" The young Balbharatians thoroughly enjoyed this eco week and learnt an array of moral values while feeling connected to their facilitators.
